How Can severe Cold And Vertigo Be Treated?

I recently got over a cold now developed vertigo. After 2 days of taking meclizine (and stopping my Claritin) I went to internist & was told I have fluid in my ears. I started taking Sudafed with the meclizine & sleeping propped up. After 2 more days of this treatment I was feeling better...then slept flat & the vertigo came back. Took most of the day to get to where I wasn t spinning all the time. Still taking sudafed & meclizine but still feeing pressure in ears. What can I do now?

Hi,

You may need to consider seeing an ENT doctor for assessment through your family doctor can also take a look and determine if you now have an ear infection that requires the use of antibiotics.

You should continue your current meds, but need to be reassessed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
